Camp DeSoto counselors are nurturing, hard working, creative, thoughtful, and fun. They are teachers, leaders, servants, and friends.
Camp DeSoto Staff walk in love and rely on grace.
This job will stretch you. Being a Camp DeSoto counselor is hard work. You will be challenged to lean into God’s strength and discover your own depths.
The joys, friendships, lessons learned, and campers loved will enrich your life forever.
Camp DeSoto staff members must be at least 18 years old and have completed their freshman year of college by June 2024 (unless otherwise discussed with the directors.)
All Staff members are required to attend Pre-Camp Training (May 24 - 31). Some staff members may be asked to attend a specialized activity training during the week of May 13-17 based on your activity preferences.
If you are hoping to be a Camp DeSoto counselor this summer, we suggest you spend time with kids! Find a job babysitting or volunteer at an after school program. Look for opportunities to care for other people and stretch your service muscle. We look forward to talking with you about your experiences.
