A Poem for Advent

by on

I thought you might like this Advent poem as much as I do. It’s written by Sally Lloyd-Jones, the author of the Jesus Storybook Bible. I wish we could all read it together, with steaming cups of hot chocolate in our hands to keep us warm!

Enjoy the excerpt below, and click the title to link back to the full poem on her blog.

Chaos: An Advent Poem

“This is an artist
creating his masterpiece.

Not because he has to.
But because he wants to.

For the sheer joy of it.

Doing what he loves to do.
Working with his favorite materials—

Filling the emptiness.
Lighting the dark.
Turning chaos to Joy.”
