Camp Take-Me-Away

Camp Take-Me-Away is, in short, grown-up Camp! Every other fall women ages 18 and beyond are invited to come and experience the wonder of summer camp again (or for the first time). On a long weekend in mid- September (Wednesday through Sunday), women are invited to camp to sleep in cabins, choose their activity schedules, eat family style in the Dining Hall, share Morning Watches and Night Devotions, live by the bell, and worship together on Sunday, just as if they are summer campers. It is a fun time of sharing old memories and making new ones as just-out-of-Camp, long-out-of-Camp, or never-before-been-to-Camp women share the experience of an almost-summer at Camp DeSoto.
