Camp DeSoto is a summer month of love, laughter, and good growth for girls ages 8 to 16. Campers live in cabins according to age groups and participate in a program that is broad and rich in its offerings. Building on a heritage of more than eighty summers, DeSoto continues even today to give a girl a place that nurtures her physical, emotional and spiritual growth, while cultivating her appreciation for things in life that really matter.

Our hope is that Camp DeSoto is a place where girls can play and have fun in the truest and best sense; a place where they will learn better how to give and receive in relationships; a place where they can feel that they belong. We want girls to become better at responding to the unpleasant and difficult experiences that are an inevitable part of life, to grow in their own independence, and to develop their understanding and appreciation of who they are. More than anything, we want girls to be confident of God.s love for them as individuals, and to deepen their grasp of personally responding to His love.

We realize these are very high hopes, but nonetheless, they express our desire for the girls camping with us. Our hope runs deep because we have seen these things happen summer after summer.
