Celebrating First Term 2017

by on

So much has happened since our last blog post - I feel like a camper who has been too busy having fun at Camp to write any good letters home! So just to recap the goodness that has been, here are my First Term Top 10:

  1. The junior performance of Cinderella in Hill High
  2. Caroline Herring in Concert
  3. Lanyards, lanyards, lanyards
  4. Trivia Night!
  5. Peter deVries playing the violin at Morning Watch
  6. Great Sports Stories - The Sandlot, The Tortoise and the Hair, and Air Bud!
  7. Surprise fireworks after Song Fest
  8. Picnicking in the rain on our last Sunday together
  9. A candlelit “Final Campfire” in the gym
  10. Moose Tracks at Final Banquet

On the last day of Camp, we all sang the “remix” version of “The Steadfast Love of the Lord never Ceases” - one of my favorite sparkles of Camp magic this summer.

Born out of camper creativity and energy, an ancient truth was given a new beat - a beat that got our blood pumping and woke our hearts up.

And that ancient truth is one I hope campers will carry with them always, as close as a heartbeat.

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness, Oh Lord.
